Nice work, but needs more work
After using a real image for the preview, I was expecting something a lot more realistic or better animated. I've done stop motion before and have had limited success so I'm not trying to shoot you down, but giving false promises will always disappoint. On the artistic side, this was low. The clay models were simple and kind of bare, but were still recognizable enough to be accepted. The character movement was alright, with some glitches here and there, but with professional equipment it would look a lot smoother for falls. Character expresion was lower then expected, even the slightest nod or turn could make the difference. The music helped the mood out and brought the clip together nicely. Special effects in terms of clay, it was pretty decent and the appropriate gun fire and timing brought it together. The background was a down point in this clip. Ambient noise or character voices if used correctly would bring up the rating too. I felt that the printer in the background and the general desk/office feel brought me out of the story. Printed pictures, carful shot planning, or more labor intensive set extensions would make this a few stars better.
In summary this clip was a decent entry level kinda of film. Disappointments from the video thumbnail could have been avoided, more character detail would help but it is hard to make look nice, Special moves like rolls and falls are hard to make look good but animator stands that can be digitally erased may help, more environmental audio and backgrounds will help.
Over all this is a really decent film and i hope you keep up the progress.
